Supraman & the school of necessity

Supramanya (Supraman) is a young Indian boy living in rural India with his blind mother. By turns fascinated and intimidated by the adults in his village – who are a mixture of the hard-working, con-men and layabouts, his life is restricted by the fact that he must support his mother in her work, rather than being able to go to school. Unknown to him, Lalita his mother has made arrangements to send him away – believing that an education in an orphanage will be better for him than an uneducated life with her. With nowhere else to turn, Supraman must galvanize the village to help him convince his mother that they are not alone in their plight – and that, by clubbing together, they can make a way.
